A journalist by profession, John has lived in Pembroke Dock for over 30 years and specialises in researching flying boats and the story of the RAF station which for three decades was part of his home town. He has been involved in heritage initiatives in the community for many years, including the Gun Tower Museum and the Pembroke Dock Sunderland Trust which now runs two visitor attractions, including the UK’s only Flying Boat Centre. Between them they have attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the town, from all over the world. John and his wife Christine have three grown-up sons.
